GEORGE CLOONEY ROCKS THE 'STACHE AND THE A-LISTERS

When George Clooney invites you to a party, you don't decline the invitation; especially when it's for a good cause.

George hosted a private party in London last night to benefit his charity work.  Matt Damon, Cindy Crawford, Guy Ritchie, Trudie Styler were just some of the names who came out to celebrate for a purpose.

George threw the bash to raise money for the victims of Darfur and the charity cashed in big, the celebs raised over $15 million!  'Tis the season for giving, peeps.

GEORGE CLOONEY'S GOT GAME...AND A SWEET MUSTACHE

We spotted George Clooney, one of the most suave and debonair men in Hollywood, very out of character yesterday.  George was rocking long hair, a mustache, camo pants and combat boots while playing basketball; what the hell is going on here?!

Don't be alarmed, Cloones was just taking a break from his new movie Men Who Stare at Goats.  Dressed in character as a war reporter (or Schneider from One Day at a Time), GC had some fun shooting hoops in between shooting scenes for the movie which is currently on location in New Mexico.

OUR FIRST LOOK AT GEORGE CLOONEY LOOKIN' AT GOATS

George Clooney loves livestock so much that he is filming a new biopic called Men Who Stare at Goats.  J/k!  While George is in fact hard at work on a film of that name, goats don't play a central role in the military themed movie.

Co-starring Ewan McGregor, Men Who Stare at Goats is based on the book of the same title.  George plays a struggling reporter who stumbles upon the story of a lifetime when he meets a soldier in Iraq (Ewan) who claims to use paranormal powers in his missions.

The movie is currently filming in New Mexico and is set for a 2010 release.

CLOONEY AND PITT ARE SWANKY WITH CHAMPAGNE

George Clooney and Brad Pitt are about two of the suavest dudes in Hollywood, maybe even the planet.  We spotted the dynamic duo at the opening night of the Venice Film Festival hobnobbing with actors, directors and socialites from all over the world and sipping on champagne.  Even with their collars loosened and their buttons unbuttoned these two look totally sexy.

GEORGE AND BRAD BURN UP THE RED CARPET

George Clooney and Brad Pitt have kicked off the Venice Film Festival with their newest project Burn After Reading.  Directed by the Coen brothers, Burn After Reading is a crime caper about what happens when A disk containing the memoirs of a CIA agent ends up in the hands of two unscrupulous gym employees who attempt to sell it.

George and Brad, both dressed in khaki and cream-colored ensembles (matching!) were joined by their co-stars Tilda Swinton and Frances McDormandBurn After Reading comes to theaters next month, to check out a trailer click here.

GEORGE AND CINDY HEAD DOWN SOUTH

I guess George Clooney and Cindy Crawford had their fill of Saint Tropez because we spotted the duo in the southern port of Sardinia, Italy.  George, Cindy and Cindy's husband Rande Gerber lounged and ate what I presume were delicious foods and even got in some sunbathing.  And if there were ever any doubts about Cindy's post-baby body, I think they can be put to rest, she looks amazing!

CLOONEY AND CRAWFORD DO LUNCH IN SAINT TROPEZ

Cindy Crawford made a stop by George Clooney's yacht over the weekend.  I guess George was growing tired of Lake Como in Italy (I can imagine it would be sooo boring) and decided to sail north to Saint Tropez, France.  It's kind of like how I'll leave Brooklyn today to go north to Manhattan...on the subway.  Yeah, totally the same thing.

GEORGE GOES FOR A SPIN ON THE LAKE

We spotted George Clooney enjoying his new single status in Italy yesterday.  The eternal bachelor  was headed out onto the water in front of his villa in Lake Como.  Sounds like a good time. Sarah? What Sarah?!

SPLITSVILLE: GEORGE CLOONEY AND SARAH LARSON BREAK UP

It looks like George Clooney and Sarah Larson are calling it quits.  According to In Touch magazine, an insider says that  "George is relieved to be single again.  The truth is that they had little in common and he just doesn't want to be tied down."  George Clooney's rep wouldn't comment on the situation.  George (almost 20 years her senior) was dating Sarah for about a year. Well it looks like one of Hollywood's most notable bachelors is back to being just that!

The Winners!

The Winners!

The 80th annual Academy Awards were held at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles last evening and the stars pulled it together for the biggest awards show of the year.  No Country for Old Men held the most nominations and it indeed win the most Oscars, followed by the other dark film, There Will be Blood, with Daniel Day-Lewis taking home Best Actor.  Now normally DDL can wear some pretty odd ensembles for the red carpet, but I thought this time (for him) he looked pretty ok...you have to respect the people that take the atypical route for the award shows.
